UNESCO World Heritage
The Wadden Sea National Park is one of the most important wetlands in the world. The tide moves 1,000,000,000 m3 of water back and forth through the depths twice a day. Each year 10-12 million. birds passes the Wadden Sea on their migration to and from the breeding areas.
It is also in the Wadden Sea that you will find Denmark's largest population of seals.
West Coast Beaches
Beautiful beach can be found on Rømø island, connected to the mainland by a causeway. You may bring your car, alle the way to the beach. Another nice beach is Hjerting Beach in Esbjerg.
Black Sun
Hundreds of thousands of starlings gather in the evening sky, before they find a place to sleep. The phenomenon is called black sun and can be experienced in spring and autumn.
